Mbappe the man for PSG

-

KYLIAN MBAPPE netted as PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN maintained the pressure on Ligue 1 leaders Lille with a comprehensive 4-1 win at STRASBOURG.

Mbappe opened the scoring with a low shot through Strasbourg goalkeeper Matz Sels’ legs.

Goals from Pablo Sarabia and Moise Kean extended PSG’s lead before half-time.

Dion Moise Sahi pulled one back for Strasbourg but Leandro Paredes ensured it was only a consolation as he scored late on for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

PSG are now three points off the summit as they bid to win an eighth French title in the last nine years.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was sent off for insulting the referee but 10-man AC MILAN held on to beat PARMA 3-1 in Serie A.

AC Milan’s slim title hopes remain although the Swede now faces a ban after picking up a straight red card last night.

Franck Kessie and Rafael Leao were on target to put Milan in control before the Ibrahimovic clash with official Favio Maresca.

Riccardo Gagliolo took full advantage of the veteran striker’s dissent before Rafael Leao sealed AC Milan’s win late on.

Just hours earlier, club director Paolo Maldini said 15-goal Ibrahimovic, 40 in October, will sign a deal.

“We are very close to renewal,” said San Siro legend Maldini.

Elsewhere, SPEZIA beat bottom side CROTONE in the battle of the strugglers.
