Such tidings of joy from new dad Macaulay

The happiest news of the week is from Macaulay Culkin who announced he had become a dad for the first time with actress Brenda Song.

Macaulay’s transformation from troubled child star to happy family man is nothing short of a miracle.

This is the 40-year-old man who divorced his parents aged 15, was arrested for marijuana possession, dabbled with heroin, lived with infamous drug addict Pete Doherty, was best pals with alleged paedo superstar Michael Jackson and was constantly heckled with ‘KEVVVVVIIIIN’ after playing Kevin McCallister in classic movie, Home Alone.

His American girlfriend Brenda, 33, whose parents were born in Thailand, found fame in the Disney series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. She has also faced her own challenges trying to crack Hollywood as a young Asian American woman.

But she has found happiness with Macaulay, announcing the birth of Dakota this week, saying: “We’re overjoyed.”

The baby is named after Macaulay’s sister, who died in a car accident in 2008. He deserves a happy ever after.
