Sex worker’s Bounce Back loan crusade

-

A SEX worker denied access to a Government business loan because of her job is calling for a change in the law.

Charlotte Edwards, 30, applied for the Bounce Back loan via Santander after being unable to work during the pandemic.

The escort’s request was initially declined due to the “nature” of her job but later approved after a group of MPs intervened.

Self-employed Ms Edwards, of Rotherham, made a formal complaint, saying Covid prevented her working due to “travel restrictions and safety”.

Santander said departures from policy are made on a “case-by-case basis”.
