Zac’s now a bit of a Kevin but I’m still proud
It’s my son Zac’s 13th birthday today and I’ve been wondering where the time has gone.
While I’m enjoying watching my little boy grow up, I’m also very conscious that it’s happening all too quickly and that I need to make the most of these times while he still calls me “Mummy” and still hugs me without being too embarrassed.
But I’m also looking forward to the “hormones” settling down a bit. I feel like I’m living with Harry Enfield’s Kevin who, on becoming a teenager, loses his sense of dress, courtesy and posture.
Zac, of course, thinks Kevin is “cool”.
Regardless, he is still kind, caring and polite – and I am very proud to be his mum. Happy birthday, Zac.
