MK Dons Portsmouth

DANNY COWLEY admitted Portsmouth fell far from his standards at MK Dons.

After starting life at Fratton Park with four straight wins, his side are now winless in three.

Scott Fraser’s penalty settled the game, while Jack Whatmough was dismissed late on.

“For the first time, there were some things I didn’t like in our play,”

Cowley said. “We need to be tougher, we need to be more in control of our emotions and we need to be more together. I want so much more for us and this football club.

“Jack getting sent off has compounded the loss and, in this league, MK Dons are the worst team you want to go down to 10 men against.”

MK Dons boss Russell Martin said: “The only disappointment for me was that we didn’t score more goals.”
