£200m ‘too little for kid catch-up’

PLANS to help pupils catch up with Covid-hit learning are “pitiful”, Labour has warned.

With £200million funding, only 8% of secondary pupils will access the Government’s summer school programme, Shadow Education Secretary Kate Green said.

Schools will decide which children are offered a place.
