It May be the wettest yet

THIS May could be one of the wettest ever as more rain is forecast this week.

By Friday there had been 63.5mm of the wet stuff – 91% of the expected rainfall for the entire month.

Met Office forecaster Steven Keates said even if the 1967 record of 131.7mm stays, this will be a “notably wet month”.

There will be sun and showers tomorrow when pubs and restaurants reopen indoors. Steven said: “If you can go in, it might be the best option.”
