Keep talking about Julia, plead killed PCSO family
THE FAMILY of PCSO Julia James urged people to keep “sharing her smile” – as her murder probe continues.
Relatives are grieving for the mother of two who was bludgeoned to death just 300 yards away from her home.
Detectives have been searching drains, forensic teams are scouring nearby railway lines and sniffer dogs were deployed at a house as the search for evidence continues.
Now Julia’s cousin, Samantha Griffin, has pleaded for people to continue to provide information, vowing: “We will not rest.”
She wrote online: “Don’t stop talking about our Julia. Don’t stop sharing Julia’s smile. Don’t stop giving information.
“It’s important to keep Julia in the eyeline and thoughts of everyone. Police are still asking people to come forward with

information into the murder of my cousin, so that they can eliminate people/things from their enquires.”
Julia, 53, joined Kent Police as a police community support officer in 2008 and more recently worked with victims of domestic abuse.
She was found in Akholt Wood near her home in Snowdown, Kent, on Tuesday, April 27.
Her loyal Jack Russell, Toby, was by her side. Kent Police staged a reconstruction of Julia’s
last steps in which an actress took Toby on the 10-minute stroll from her house to the perimeter of the woods.
Dressed in a turquoise Berghaus jacket and navy tightfitting jeans tucked into black wellies, the blonde middle-aged double led Toby on a neon lead. Kent’s Assistant Chief Constable Tom Richards said: “We have an obligation to piece together... the last moments of Julia’s life.”
Callum Wheeler, 21, appeared by video link at Maidstone crown court on Thursday, charged with Julia’s murder. He did not enter a plea.
He is being held on remand and will stand trial in November.
