New star Griff getting in with big fry Taylor
Good to see Taylor Swift chipping in with support for BRITs Rising Star winner Griff. The Global Icon champ surprised the newest addition to her squad by sending a bouquet of flowers to the Black Hole singer’s hotel room.
Before the show, Griff – whose earliest musical memory is being given an iPod shuffle featuring Taylor’s Fearless album – admitted: “I’m going to be lost for words if I bump into Taylor.” She added: “In my hotel room, some flowers appeared. The note said something along the lines of, ‘Good luck with your performance. I hope I get to say hi. Your friend Taylor’. I don’t know any other Taylor. It’ll be really awkward if it’s not her.” Thankfully, it was.
