Fanning flames of hatred won’t bring resolution
In the same week that Muslims around the world celebrated the end of the holy month of Ramadan, so did the violence and hate escalate in the troubled states of Israel and Palestine. The scenes there of death and destruction are impossible to comprehend.
But it serves no one to fuel the hatred by coming down heavily on one side or the other. We all know that hate solves nothing.
It’s not easy to preach love and tolerance when seeing the terrible images beamed across our TV screens.
But only with compassion and understanding on both sides can peace be won.
