Exercise is a real tonic
A CHILDHOOD trauma left Lucy Bayes with awful depression.
She says: “I have struggled with my mental health since I was 12. I didn’t want to be alive any more. I was hospitalised four times. All I was given was medication but I felt like I needed therapy.”
Now 19, Lucy has been doing a programme with the foundation’s James Wright. She said: “He’s taught me how important nutrition and exercise are. I feel clearer.
“I’d tell anyone feeling the way I have that nothing lasts forever. You are not alone.”
