JOE ROOT fell for 99 as he found County Championship form for YORKSHIRE before he joins up for England duty.
The Test skipper has struggled for runs this term but he stepped up his preparations to face New Zealand on June 2 with an eye-catching innings.
Root played on to Dan Douthwaite – the first time he’s been dismissed on 99 in his career.
He still helped Yorkshire gain a healthy advantage over GLAMORGAN, who lost Aussie star Marnus Labuschagne for a duck and ended on 108-3 at the close, a lead of 27.
