Niall’s on a Worldie mission
Tomorrow, 7.45pm
NIALL EVALDS knows he has ground to make up if he is to force his way into Shaun Wane’s World Cup plans for England.
But the Castleford fullback says the competition from the likes of Zak Hardaker, Sam Tomkins and Jake Connor can only be good for him.
The 27-year-old, who has previously represented England Knights, said: “It drives me to reach new standards. Good performances will dictate if I get my name in front.
“For the last few weeks I do not think I have been up to my usual high standards.”
Evalds gets a chance to impress Wane against Hull KR, the team Cas knocked out of the Challenge Cup last month.
The Tigers have Liam Watts suspended. Forward Grant Millington has been ruled out for six weeks with a knee injury.
Rovers are missing Ethan Ryan, Albert Vete and Elliot Minchella but have Will Maher back.
