NOT many people can say they have felt the love and the wrath of Jurgen Klopp in equal measure.
Richie Partridge is one of the select few.
The Dubliner never kicked a ball for the Liverpool manager – his playing career was long finished by the time of Klopp’s arrival at
Anfield in 2015 – but he became part of the German’s inner circle as a club physio at the end of that first season.
“Jurgen is so intense on the field. He rollocked me on a number of occasions when I was running on to treat a player,” said Partridge.
“Get him outside the intensity of a game, in a normal environment, and he’s not like that.
“As a physio, when you report back to him and use too many medical terms or he doesn’t quite understand what you are telling him, he’ll give you the eyes.
“He will stare at you and then it’s, ‘Will you just speak **** ing English!’.”
