The 36-year-old grime star, who plays Sully in C4’s Top Boy, explains: “I don’t know how every actor would approach it, but I approached it like an artist. And I think art is more about asking questions and beginning that process. At the time

Naomi

The 51-year-old supermodel, who announced she had welcomed a baby girl earlier this week, isn’t planning on taking extended maternity leave. She wants to be a working mum, just as her own mother was.

A source says: “Naomi likes to work – she’s a workaholic. She enjoys the work too much to stop, but the past year has been a moment of reflection and putting things into perspective.”

Just hours after her baby announcement, the catwalk star was back on stage interviewing fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg for her YouTube series, No Filter.

When a fan expressed surprise that she was on the chat, Naomi replies: “I’m hands-on. No Filter is my other baby.” She also says she’s “honoured and humbled” at the response to her “new chapter as a mother”.

As well as her YouTube series,

Naomi has her charity event, Fashion for Relief, and a string of projects in the pipeline.

“Naomi’s success is down to how hard she works,” the insider adds.

“She never takes her foot off the pedal. Of course she will want to spend quality time bonding with her child, but she’s fortunate that she has a job that she can bring her to work with her.”

Although very few people knew about the supermodel’s intentions to start a family, friends say hitting her 50th birthday made her reconsider becoming a mum. One says: “It was turning 50 and there was maybe a little bit of it’s now or never.”

Naomi’s mum Valerie Morris Campbell says of the news: “I’m beyond thrilled as I’ve waited a long time to be a grandmother.”
