ROXANNE Pallett gets a tender glance from her firefighter hubby Jason Carrion after revealing she will become a mum at the age of 38.
The former Emmerdale star says she feels “like the luckiest woman in the world” as she prepares for the arrival of her autumn baby in New York, where she now lives.
Roxanne told the Sunday Mirror how life has changed since she quit showbiz and ditched social media following her controversial stint on Celebrity Big Brother in 2018.
In an exclusive chat, Roxanne said: “I now know what ‘happy ever after’ feels like.
GRATEFUL
“To have such a beautiful life here and be blessed with the most incredible husband and our little baba on the way… my mum’s already knitting for England. “My husband is driving round at all hours getting me pizza and cookies. We’re in a bubble of excitement.”
Roxanne wed Jason in January 2020, 17 months after they first met. He had previously been on the US version of Married At First Sight.
The actress switched her life up after becoming the most complained about woman on TV following CBB’s “punchgate”.
Roxanne was removed from the house after falsely accusing fellow contestant and Corrie star Ryan Thomas of maliciously hitting her – but footage later showed it was clearly accidental.
She was diagnosed with complex
PTSD and Panic Disorder after the row but says specialist treatment really helped.
“Therapy… changing my environment, leaving showbiz and eliminating the online world has given me the most peace and progress,” she admitted.
Roxanne played Jo Stiles in Emmerdale for three years from
2005 and later appeared in Waterloo
Road and Casualty.
She said: “Everyone I now have around me brings out the best in me.
“It’s true that happiness is the greatest success.
“I’m just very grateful for such a beautiful chapter.”
