Gareth: We want Wembley

-

the Welsh fans to be able to come and watch us is definitely something we would love to see,” said the Real Madrid star.

“The aim for us is to try and win the game and top the group and that means that next game would be at Wembley, which would be great for Welsh fans.

“It would be a great result if we could win the game and our aim is to win the game. None of us ever go out into a game trying not to win or get a draw.

“We have a game plan, we think we can hurt them, but obviously on the night we need to perform as well as we can.”

Bale claims he would not hesitate to take another penalty if Wales were awarded a spot-kick tonight, despite his miss against Turkey.

“If I’m asked to step up again, I would have no problems taking another penalty,” he said.

Aaron Ramsey returns to Italy after a frustrating season at Juventus, hampered by injury, but Bale said the midfield star is playing as well as ever for Wales.

“He hasn’t played too much for us in this campaign, but when he has come in, he’s always worked hard,” he said.

“We have played for so many years together that we have a very good understanding.

“It’s good to have him back and I’m sure he will put in another great performance against Italy.”

Wales boss Rob Page insists Ramsey has nothing to prove against the Azzurri because he has already shown he is world class.

“I don’t think he has anything to prove,” he said.

“I’ve been blown away by him. This is the first proper camp I’ve had with him and I could not be more complimentary.

“Not only is he scoring important goals, defensively I thought he was outstanding.

“He’s enjoying his football, he’s playing with a smile on this face and that’s great to see.”
