Sherlock star Freeman: I’ll miss fun Una

- BY TOM HORTON

DEVASTATED Martin Freeman paid a tribute yesterday to his “fun and exciting” late Sherlock co-star Una Stubbs.

Freeman played Dr Watson and Una played Mrs Hudson in the hit BBC series from 2010 to 2017.

She died last week at the age of 84 surrounded by her family in Edinburgh,

Freeman, 49, said: “She loved laughing. She loved clothes. She always looked good. Also, she was very naughty, which is something she and I bonded over immediately.

“She possessed the energy and outlook of eternal youth, full of love, vitality and fun. Plus, she was fantastic at her job, and much respected.

“I loved being around her, and I’m gutted that that won’t happen again.”
