Lads’ hol man in drug death

A MAN who died after a “gents’ holiday” in Amsterdam had 50 wraps of drugs inside his stomach, an inquest heard.

Matthew Newton, 31, died in hospital last July after suffering two cardiac arrests when one wrap ruptured his stomach.

A postmortem found Mr Newton, of Hertfordshire, had suffered “acute cocaine toxicity”.

Coroner Vincent Williams at Essex Coroner’s Court concluded his death was drug-related.
