A grade big well done!
Congratulations to pupils who passed their A-levels – it’s a fantastic achievement.
They, their parents and teachers have been put through the mill, thanks to two years’ of Covid disruption.
The exam results for many were good and most are happy with the final outcome.
But former schools catch-up tsar Sir Kevan Collins fears the “educational legacy of Covid could be growing inequality”.
For independent school pupils in England, 70% of A-level results were A* or A, compared with just 39% of comprehensive pupils.
It never was a level playing field. During home schooling some students did not have access to the same resources as others.
But if you didn’t get what you wanted, don’t worry. As someone who never got an A, I know it’s not the grade that matters.
It’s what you do that counts.
