Canaries want Cahill to listen to their tune

- TOM HOPKINSON

NORWICH CITY are keen on free agent Gary Cahill as boss Daniel Farke continues to shape his squad on their return to the Premier League.

The 35-year-old former England defender is available after rejecting new terms at Crystal

Palace. He is still weighing up his options but there is hope at Norwich that he would welcome a move to Carrow Road. Farke is looking for a new centrehalf and wanted Kristoffer Ajer, but he lost out on the former Celtic star, who joined newly-promoted Brentford.

The Norwich boss knows, however, that Cahill

(above), a Premier League, Champions League and Europa League winner, would bring invaluable experience to his squad as they look to establish themselves back in the top flight.
