JOEY BARTON revealed his assistant manager Clint Hill has left Rovers due to “family issues”.

The hosts suffered an eighth successive defeat stretching back to last season as goals from Chris Lines and Luke Norris won it late on for Stevenage.

And boss Barton said: “Clint asked for some time off and has subsequently decided that he cannot return.

“It seems like it never rains but it pours.”
