RONALD KOEMAN has urged his Barcelona players to avoid “living in the past” ahead of the first La Liga match of the post-Lionel Messi era against Real Sociedad.
All eyes will be on the Nou Camp tonight with no Messi and where the weight of responsibilty will fall on the likes of Antoine Griezmann with summer-signing Sergio Aguero sidelined through injury.
Barca boss Koeman said: “We will miss Leo a lot because he was a very important player in the history of Barca. But you can’t live in the past. Things change and I’m very excited about the team we have this year.
“When we get the injured players back, we will have a very strong team to achieve great things. The team is ready, we have a lot of experience and we are ready to play and the team is ready to go.”
