- BY JACK CLOVER

uKRAiNiANs in Britain today send a defiant message to vladimir Putin: “Hands off our country.”

Members of an expats’ social club say the Russian leader will not know what has hit him if he dares to invade.

Natalya Ravlyuk, 41, who has helped take supplies to troops since the Donbas conflict began in 2014, said: “Whoever knows how to fight will take the gun. He may have heavy weapons but we have something in our hearts.”

Hanya Dezyk, 58, said: “ukrainians will always be ready to fight, even the grandmas will bear arms if they must.”

liliya Romanyshyn, 42, who runs the bar at the ukrainian social club in West london, said: “We do worry about our families at home.”

Everyone in the club knows someone who has died or been injured in the current Donbas war – among them Roman Azarov, 38, of Watford.

He told us: “Putin is a sick person.”
