Poo-pooing river failure

The River Wharfe in Ilkley, Yorkshire, is a famous spot for sunbathing and swimming. But it’s failed its test by the Environment Agency, which says the water has sewage in it.

So I expect some locals will say: “What a fuss about nowt. In my day, river weren’t river if it weren’t full of poo, it’s good for thee is sewage.”
