It’s a sorry excuse on gigs, Adele

Adele issued a desperately tearful apology for cancelling her shows at Caesar’s Palace in Vegas.

The show wasn’t ready because of Covid problems, she said, through her sobbing.

Many people have been moved by her message, but I’m not sure it fits her down-to-earth image.

She might have been better to do what normal people do – put on a croaky voice and go: “Er, yeah, I won’t be in, I’m afraid, I’ve got a rotten cold, ahweeeeugh, atishoo sniff, my head’s thumping and I can barely move COUGH COUGH.”

Then put the phone down, shout “Wahoo” and spend the day watching Netflix.
