It’s vital to take care of yourself
I turn 52 this year and, despite the fact that I’m relatively fit and healthy, I do get a few aches and pains these days.
We’re very lucky in the UK that we’re offered free tests, including cervical screening, breast screening for women aged 50-plus and bowel cancer screening aged 60-plus. I would urge everyone to take up the invitations when you get them.
But you can also do some very simple home tests – check your temperature, pulse, skin, waist fat, stools, breasts, and blood and blood sugar levels.
Sometimes we forget to look after number one – I hope this little reminder will
motivate you to self-care.
