Accor’s boutique hotel brand Mama Shelter is making its mark in the Middle East, bringing its cutting-edge style to the futuristic city of Dubai.

Slated to open towards the end of the year, Mama Dubai’s 197 rooms and 192 apartments will be housed in a unique tower in the hip business district, close to the world’s tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa. Features will include a range of dining outlets, a terrace with four swimming pools, and an outdoor CineMama.

In another tall storey, April will see the arrival of Hotel La Tour in the heart of Milton Keynes, and the highlight has to be Fourteen, the county’s highest bar and restaurant.

Soaring 164ft above ground level, the elegant eatery will offer stunning 360-degree panoramas over Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire as well as a seasonal British menu.

The four-star plus hotel features 261 contemporary designed rooms and suites (including a honeymoon suite), each with floor-to-ceiling windows boasting views over the city centre or Campbell Park.

Rooms start at £120 a night with breakfast.
