JACK GREALISH’S £100million move to Manchester City could cost him his England World Cup place, says Aston Villa legend Dennis Mortimer.

Former Villa captain Mortimer, 69, who lifted the league title and

European Cup for the Villans, believes Grealish (left) looks lost in Pep Guardiola’s side.

“Jack doesn’t seem to be hitting it off that well at Manchester City,” said Mortimer.

“He’ll be lucky if he gets into the World Cup squad for Qatar the way he is playing at the moment. Would he have been a different player if he had stayed at Villa? Probably, because it was all about him over the last three seasons.

“Now he is playing for a bigger club he just doesn’t seem to be doing anything. His whole style of playing has totally changed at Manchester City.

“It might take a year before he gets used to what he needs to do, but he is certainly not the Jack Grealish we all knew.”
