‘Eagles top dogs now’

WATFORD defender William Troost-Ekong says Nigeria have revelled in their underdog role at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles went into the tournament under a cloud following the sacking of coach Gernot Rohr and absence of players such as TroostEkong’s Watford’s teammate Emmanuel Dennis.
But they topped Group D in Cameroon with three straight wins over Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau and face Tunisia in the last 16 today.
Troost-Ekong said: “The boys have done a great job. One thing that is to our advantage is that we started as an underdog.”
