Liz’s £500k jet jaunt is nutty
Foreign Secretary Liz Truss took a private jet to Australia, at a cost of over £500,000, paid by the taxpayer.
During the years of austerity, she told us: “Every public sector worker should spend taxpayers’ money with at least the care they would give to their own… they should travel by economy rather than business class.”
This means the economy-class ticket must cost more than £500,000, as Liz takes such great care with taxpayers’ money. I expect she decided against having any
peanuts, as that would have made it even more expensive.
These Australian airlines need to sort
themselves out.
