MoD expert in UFO probe call
A UFO expert has called for a new probe after declassified documents revealed sightings of hundreds of unidentified spacecraft.
Nick Pope, who ran the Ministry of Defence UFO desk for three years, said the Government is ignoring credible evidence of possible aliens, adding: “It’s time to re-open the UK’s reallife X-Files.”
He spoke out after an MoD document showed hundreds of UFOs were witnessed by police officers, pilots and air traffic control. In January 2009, there were over 40 sightings. That March, an MoD guard in Portsmouth reported “a wide peardrop-shape translucent green light with a small tail of light”.
Mr Pope said: “The MoD axed its UFO desk at the end of 2009, claiming decades of research and investigation produced no evidence of any threat. Credible sightings from military witnesses, corroborated by radar evidence, should never be ignored.”
