1 in 7 voters want major NHS change

-

A COMPULSORY health insurance scheme to fund the NHS’s £192billion cost is favoured by one in seven voters, a poll reveals.

While six in 10 still think the NHS should be taxpayer-funded, 14% believe a social insurance scheme would be better.

One in 10 Tory voters would also deny treatment to those without it, our exclusive poll found.

Of the 2,087 adults quizzed, Electoral Calculus and Find Out Now found 23% were losing faith in the NHS’s ability, with many blaming Government ineptitude.

Find Out Now’s Chris Holbrook said: “It suggests big changes are needed.”
