Eye drops to replace glasses

-

A new kind of eye drop has been approved for sale in the US to treat age-related vision problems.

Presbyopia is a natural part of ageing, which means the eyes become less able to focus on nearby objects.

People usually start to notice the effects of presbyopia in their 40s, and it can continue worsening until around the age of 65. Typically, people begin to wear glasses to compensate for the loss of vision.

Vuity eye drops take effect in around 15 minutes and provide sharper vision for six to 10 hours.
