TOM: TOUGHER THAN THE REST

TOM PIDCOCK has branded cyclo-cross as the hardest discipline in cycling as he bids for his world title glory today.

The Olympic mountain bike gold medalist (above) is among the favourites for the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championship amid the grassland of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Ineos Grenadiers rider Pidcock, 22, said: “It’s mentally harder than any five-day stage race for sure.”
