PREM PAIR’S COVID ALERT

ARGENTINA’S Premier League duo Emiliano Buendia and Alexis Mac Allister are the subject of a Covid scare after returning home for their country’s World Cup qualifying double header.

Aston Villa winger Buendia (below) had to selfisolate in Buenos Aires after he was deemed a close contact of Brighton midfielder Mac Allister, who tested positive for the virus ahead of the Chile clash on Thursday. The pair had travelled together from the UK.

Argentina won 2-1 and face Colombia at home on Tuesday. Villa do not play again until a week on Wednesday when they face Leeds in the Premier League.
