Tommy eyes slice of Saudi trophy
ENGLAND’S Tommy Fleetwood is in the shake-up heading into today’s final round of the Saudi International as he seeks a first win in more than two years.
The Ryder Cup star is two shots off leader Harold Varner III after a 67 on day three in Jeddah to go 10 under.
Fleetwood (above) made six birdies to cancel out three bogeys in the desert as he looks for a first win since lifting the trophy at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in November 2019.
ATHLETICS
BRITISH hurdler Tiffany Porter has retired at the age of 34. Porter won European gold, world bronze as well as Commonwealth silver. But after failing to reach the 100m women’s hurdle final at last year’s Tokyo Olympics, Porter has now called time on her career.
US-born Porter currently holds the British record at 60m and 100m.
Meanwhile, Spain won the new six-nation DNA Athletics tournament in Glasgow yesterday.
