Horton a fan of Pep

FORMER Manchester City boss Brian Horton is one of the most respected managers in English football.

However, after a staggering career of 2,118 games, even he found himself starstruck when he met Pep Guardiola.

“Pep came over to wish me happy 70th birthday at Vincent Kompany’s testimonial evening,” revealed Horton.

“I was like a schoolboy. He’s the best coach in the world, probably one of the best there’s ever been.

“I asked if I could come and see one of his training sessions because I’ve the utmost respect for the way his teams play. I can’t wait to see what he can do.”
