JOHN SHERIDAN says the late victory has given Oldham “belief”.

Junior Luamba’s winner earned the Latics a first league win since November.

Boss Sheridan said: “If we can stay strong as a unit and stay in games we’ve got players whose goals can get us out of the position that we’re in.”

Scunthorpe manager Keith Hill insisted: “I’m still very optimistic and positive about our chances.”
