BP’s Looney in £10bn lunacy

-

Bernard Looney is the CEO of BP, whose profits have risen to £10billion following the rise in energy prices.

He says the company has “More money than we know what to do with”.

But he rejects the idea that some of it should be paid in a windfall tax.

The proposed tax might mean a few old people could sit in their living rooms without setting fire to their floorboards to keep warm, but Bernard and his friends would only have £9billion they didn’t know what to do with instead of £10billion they didn’t know what to do with, and we don’t want that because that’s how Communist Russia

started.
