Rob’s movie mission to Bat man-up

- BY DAVID JARVIS

BATMAN star Robert Pattinson said he pumped iron and exercised for up to six hours a day to play the caped crusader.

The star, 35, admitted he was unfit when he won the role in 2019 so hit the gym.

But delays due to Covid meant his Batman training regime lasted 16 months.

He revealed that after his first gym session to assess his fitness level he felt “absolutely dead”.

He said: “I was thinking, ‘I really have to get on this’ so I went really hard.”

Pattinson once said he was so skinny that when asked to take his shirt off on a film set “they told me to put it back on again”.

Zoe Kravitz, who plays Catwoman in The Batman, which is out next month, said: “His transformation was out of this world.”
