How big pants help to keep our love alive

I have been married for 17 years, and this Valentine’s Day, my hubby Steve and I will celebrate as we do every year.

If you’ve been married as long as us, it’s easy to give up on romance, but it’s the little things that really do matter in keeping your relationship to the forefront.

I take great pleasure in choosing a funny card for him.

And now that we have kids, I like to set an example to them – that despite the bickering they witness on a daily basis, when it comes down to it, Mum and Dad are best mates and they still make an effort to show their love and respect for each other.

We still buy each other presents too, but they’re a bit more practical nowadays.

I’ve got him a nasal hair trimmer and he’s bought me some big pants.
