For vitamin D deficiency
One in five adults and one in six children in the UK currently have vitamin D deficiency, yet less than a third of us understand its impact on our health, say LloydsPharmacy.
“Vitamin D is naturally made by the skin when it comes into contact with sunlight, however between
October and early March it is difficult to produce enough,” says Lloyd’s pharmacist Anshu Kaura. Look for vitamin D supplements or try a SAD lamp which mimics the effects of sunlight. You could even follow the lead of Rolling Stone Mick Jagger who was recently spotted wearing a pair of light therapy glasses. If concerned, ask your GP.
