Sneyd hails Salford

BY ROSS HEPPENSTALL MARC SNEYD called Salford’s victory at Castleford on Friday “unbelievable” as his seven goals from seven attempts secured a 26-16 win.

Paul Rowley has taken over at the Red Devils – and he got off to the perfect start after debutant playmaker Sneyd proved flawless with the boot against his former club.

A delighted Sneyd beamed: “It was unbelievable. Every player did an outstanding job.

“Everyone who watches Paul Rowley’s teams will say they are based on attack – but this win was all about how we defended.”
