Tuilagi on the mark for Sharks

-

Premiership Round-Up MANU TUILAGI was among the SALE try scorers to wreck Steve Diamond’s return to his old club with WORCESTER.

Warriors head coach Diamond quit after 10 years in charge of the Sharks in late 2020.

And he could only watch his former charges blow Worcester away with a stunning second-half display in the north-west as Sale won 36-12.

With the wind at their backs, Sale took over with England star Tuilagi, Curtis Langdon, Rohan Janse van Rensburg and Arron Reed all crossing.

EXETER returned to form with a 24-15 victory over GLOUCESTER.

Freddie Clarke put Gloucester ahead but Exeter didn’t look back after Jack Innard scored.

Patrick Schickerling, Olly Woodburn and Tom O’Flaherty all also crossed for a Chiefs side who move back into the top six.

Wales forward Taulupe Faletau marked his return from injury with a try in 14-man BATH’s 41-24 loss at WASPS.

Faletau, who injured his ankle playing for the British & Irish Lions last summer, went over in the 32nd minute.

But Bath had Semesa Rokoduguni sent off just after half-time and Wasps made the most of their numerical advantage as Paolo Odogwu and Alfie Barbeary both crossed twice for the home side to secure a fourth successive victory.

Bath remain bottom of the table having lost 13 of their 15 matches.
