team has never been a pressing team and to change those habits in a few weeks without a pre-season doesn’t happen like that.

“But no one should believe that

the players don’t care or like to experience things like today.

“They’re not happy giving away points - and it’s the third game when we’ve been 1-0 or 2-0 up, and we haven’t taken full points.”

United remain in fifth, and are a massive 20 points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Wolves all have games in hand over Rangnick’s misfiring team.

Midfield general Scholes was scathing after another poor draw, just three days after Burnley hit back to snatch a point at

Turf Moor.

He said: “From what I saw, I don’t think they’re working hard enough to stop the other team playing football. You look at the team-sheet and there’s a lot of talent there. “You can name every one of them.

“But even with talent you have to work hard as well.

“I feel sorry for the manager because he’s clearly trying his best to set up his team.

“And they’re either not listening and can’t do it or don’t want to do

it. We don’t know what’s gone on on the training field, we don’t know the players’ attitude.

“They are either not taking instructions - or they don’t want to.”
