Oxford Utd 2 Bolton 3

-

IAN EVATT feels Bolton’s future is bright with Marlon Fossey and Amadou Bakayoko in tandem.

Oxford twice led through Billy Bodin, but Declan John and Fossey equalised and the latter set up Bakayoko’s (below) winner.

Evatt said: “Marlon’s a talented boy. We bought him in with one eye on the future.

“Bakayoko is a crucial player for us – he’s a proper number nine.

“But he’s had a run of injuries so we’ve not had a real run of games with him.”

Oxford boss Karl Robinson said: “The players had tremendous energy after the two and a half weeks they have had and we can probably do with this midweek break coming up now.

“We’ll dust ourselves down and go again. It’s a defeat at home that we don’t often get.”
