PORT VALE boss Darrell Clarke urged his side to quickly get back to their best.

Clarke apologised to his side’s fans after a dire goalless draw against Northampton.

“We were unrecognisable from the last four or five games when we’ve been right at it and it’s up to me to work out why that was,” Clarke said.

“It was an awful performance from us.”

Cobblers manager Jon Brady (left) said: “We stood up as a group against a big, strong, physical side. I thought we could have done a lot better in moments.”
