JOEY BARTON claimed Rovers were denied a clear-cut penalty against in-form Mansfield.

Aaron Collins was booked for diving following John-Joe O’Toole’s challenge – much to the home side’s anger.

Rovers boss Barton said: “When an official gets it so wrong, it is difficult to keep the emotion in. It’s a stonewaller. If the referee had done his job properly it would have been three points.”

Mansfield chief Nigel Clough said: “We weren’t quite at it going forward.”
