Walsall 1 Tranmere 0
NEIL McDONALD welcomed the end of Walsall’s losing streak but warned there is still plenty to improve on.
Conor Wilkinson’s late penalty earned the Saddlers victory after seven successive defeats.
Caretaker boss McDonald said: “It’s just a big relief.
“We’ve moved up the table a little bit and that
just takes the stress away a bit I suppose, but we’ve still got lots to do and lots to improve on – but it’s a start.”
Tranmere manager Micky Mellon said: “I don’t really think both teams did enough to win the game.”
